An Image on Your Homepage?

Too Easy!

If you want to add an image to your home page it can be done easily by adding a bit of simple HTML wherever you want your graphic to appear.

The process is simple...

1) Name and upload your image file into your Graphic Library at Site Central.

2) Find the place where you want to insert your image and use the following format...

Be sure to enter the graphic file name exactly as you saved it in the Graphic Library. The extension can be a .jpg, .gif, or .png, and don't forget any underscores between words.

Once you have entered the code and previewed your page, voila, there's your image! If it's not there, then you have made an error with your code, it must be EXACTLY the same as the graphic name in your graphic library with the correct file type/extension on the end.

If you want your text to wrap around your graphic then just insert it where you want it, and your text will naturally build around it. If your want your text to sit below your graphic, then add the code

just before the start of your next paragraph of text. These 'tags' add clear 'line breaks after you image, so that text will not sit too closely to your graphic.
Too easy isn't it!

If you need to align your image, to the left, right or centre, you simply need to drop in the following code, just be sure it is before the code that contains your image and its source. HTML tags required for aligning text or images.

Here's the finished product below, followed by the full tags that it requires. The final "/P" tag is required to close the alignment, otherwise all of your following text will sit, left, right or centred.
